Job Description
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Outpatient Therapist) to join its clinical care team. This position provides outpatient therapy services in support of the clinical mission of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. This position diagnoses, assesses and treats mental health and psychological disorders in adults, children and adolescents at the Department's outpatient psychiatry center location.
Responsibilities
Clinical:
Provides direct outpatient care to adult, child and adolescent patients utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Acts as an independent licensed provider in a competent, capable and professional manner that exemplifies current standard of care and practice in therapy. Develops and updates treatment plan to help patients meet their goals during current standards of practice.
Other:
Communications and coordinates care with other internal and external providers and care teams as necessary. Documents in electronic medical record in a timely manner following standards of care; Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
Qualifications
Each position assigned to this classification must require specific training at the Bachelor's degree or Master's degree level in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or other field appropriate to the program content. Bachelor's degree candidates must have at least two years of applicable experience. The Master's degree may substitute for the required experience. Specific certifications or licensures may be required or preferred for certain program areas.
