Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Lead CT Technologist assists the Supervisor with overseeing the daily operations of the department technologists, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality and cost management. Assists with ensuring a collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships across modalities and will all levels of staff and faculty. The incumbent will be proficient in the full range of Computed Tomography (CT), and will maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed, coordinate exams with other services, coordinate patient transportation to appropriate areas of the Hospital, communicate pertinent patient information with the ER and Nursing units, and exercise strict patient confidentiality. On an assigned basis, the incumbent will perform complex CT Imaging procedures at least 80% of the time following prescribed protocols. The incumbent will adhere to the on-call, holiday, weekend, and weekly work schedules and participate in rotating shifts as required.

External candidates hired into the Full-Time, CT Technologist classification (Job Code 009088) are eligible for a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus. Payment terms are $5,000.00 paid to active employee upon hire and $5,000.00 at 6 months of employment. All potential recipients cannot have been employed within the UC System for the past 12 months in order to qualify.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

• Venipuncture Certification
• Must be able to participate in on-call rotation
• Minimum of five (5) years recent CT experience in an Adult Acute Care Facility
• May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics
• Graduate AMA Radiologic Tech program
• Fluoroscopy license/certification
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• CRT license/certification
• Associates Degree in Radiological Services
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload
• ARRT-CT
• ARRT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
• Previous Lead experience
• Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
• Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Sciences
