Working at CQUniversity

At CQUniversity Library, we take a unique approach to delivering digital library services. As Leader, Library Student and Academic Engagement, you will lead a team delivering teaching, learning, and research support services to our diverse community of students, academics, and researchers, driving continuous improvement and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across all channels.

This role is for someone energised by the evolving landscape of academic libraries, with deep expertise in supporting students, academics, and researchers, and the ability to translate that expertise into strategic direction and practical service excellence. As a member of the Library Leadership Team, you will help shape the Library’s contribution to student success and research outcomes, while building capability across the broader Digital Services Directorate. You will join a future-focused Library team committed to making a real difference for students and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and evolution of digital library services, providing expert advice on emerging trends, policy changes, and service gaps at institutional and sector levels.
  • Leading best practice in the design and delivery of library teaching, learning, and research services, including information and AI literacy programs, embedded library support, and open educational resources.
  • Managing and improving the Library’s tiered service channels, working collaboratively with Digital Services colleagues and engaging with academic staff, researchers, and key stakeholders across the University.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing your team, including performance management, workload allocation, and professional development.
