The Opportunity:
Working within a collaborative leadership team and across the University a challenging new opportunity is available for an Associate Director, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology & Delivery to join the Digital and Campus Services Group, working closely with the Chief Digital Officer and Executive Director, Campus Services to shape VU’s AI vision and strategy.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of leading AI and automation solutions through establishing VU’s first AI virtual accelerator working in partnership with university stakeholders to deliver real business benefits.
As VU’s AI subject matter expert and leadership advisor, you will champion all things AI whilst ensuring consideration and adherence to ethics, regulations, policies and promotion of responsible AI practices in all aspects of activities.
You will also play a critical role in the exploration and fostering of strategic partnership opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and solutions to advance VU’s existing capabilities and drive innovation.

About You:
We are seeking a dynamic Information Technology leader who is passionate about AI (deep understanding of AI technologies, trends and regulatory landscape) and its applications in a large complex organisation such as VU.
A proven track record in managing and delivering customer focused initiatives and strong relationship building skills including the ability to influence at senior level is essential to success in this role.
Conditions & Benefits:
This full-time position will be offered on a 3-year fixed term contract basis. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%.
