Manager: Cyber Security Operations (HEO 9)
- Based in Information Strategy and Technology Services at the Mawson Lakes campus
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), continuing position leading a high performing team
- Salary Range: $128,163 - $132,529 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will provide leadership to the Cyber Security Operations team to ensure effective operation and service delivery by the team. You will proactively manage the risks to the University’s digital assets and data to protect against internal and external threats. You will provide the University community with expert advice on cyber security protection, detection, response, and recovery. You will also be responsible for management of cyber security incidents as well as for implementation of preventative controls, keeping the University’s digital environment safe.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in information technology or a related field and extensive relevant knowledge, experience and skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Extensive technical expertise in implementing and managing emerging cyber security technologies in a large and complex IT environment comparable with the University
- Extensive risk management skills and experience in the operational management of a cyber security team within a large and complex IT environment comparable to the University
- In depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats and defensive tools
- Significant demonstrated experience in implementing cyber security strategies and policies to meet the business needs of a large organisation
- Proven experience managing budgets and uplifting services.
- Proven project management, organisational and problem solving skills; and the ability to plan for and coordinate activities and resources to meet milestones, in a dynamic and changing environment
- This position requires an Australian Security Clearance at the NV1 Level and applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
