Offer Description
Lector, department of languages, English language, language teaching. The candidate is expected to have experience in teaching adults and giving classes at university level, prepare syllabuses in foreign language, prepare original learning materials for specialized English, impart basic knowledge about the culture of a country characteristic for a given language area, conduct tests that provide an opportunity to check one's progress and guide further learning, conduct verification of studying effects after each semester (the passing of which enables the candidate to start learning at the next level), offer consultations, constantly improve their language skills, learn new teaching methods. An additional advantage will be the availability to conduct classes at part-time/weekend studies.
The candidate is required to meet the following qualification criteria:
- holding a master’s degree or engineer degree in English philology or applied linguistics with English,
- present advanced knowledge of the foreign language to be taught, confirmed by an appropriate diploma or certificate issued on the basis of an examination by an institution with a recognized position in teaching a given language;
- Predispositions and personal skills, including:
- the ability to reliably transfer knowledge and practical skills,
- the ability to plan and organize own work,
- computer literacy and skills as well as distance learning techniques,
- participation in trainings and courses increasing teaching competences;
- participating in trainings and courses increasing digital and awareness competences.
- Experience in working with adults.
- Welcome: cooperation with institutions representing English-speaking countries, experience in teaching specialist English, sworn translator of the English language;
- in the case of foreigners, the command of the Polish language, spoken and written, is required to the extent that enables conducting classes with students.
