Job Description

The School of Foreign Languages at Jianghan University seeks a Lector/Senior Lector in English language. Primary duties include teaching three M.A.-level courses: research methods in applied linguistics, statistics in applied linguistics, and English academic writing.

Senior Lectors participate in teaching-related professional activities (workshops, seminars, etc.) with no limits on reappointment based on performance and need. Lectors receive benefits including annual income no less than 180,000 RMB before tax, commercial health insurance, apartment, etc.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English
• PhD in second-language pedagogy, English language/linguistics, applied linguistics, or related field by time of hire
• Desirable: Experience in curriculum development and technology in classroom; research in foreign language pedagogy
• Preferred: Experience teaching English in Chinese university; expertise in research methods/statistics (SPSS, R, Python); 3 SSCI publications
