As a Lecturer and Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of paediatric education within the Doctor of Medicine program. You'll have the opportunity to lead curriculum development, deliver engaging teaching, and contribute to medical education research. Based at the Royal Children's Hospital Academic Centre, you'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure excellence in paediatric medical education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate CAH Program: Lead the academic governance and daily operations of the Child and Adolescent Health Program for MD3 students.
  • Deliver Engaging Teaching: Develop and deliver curriculum, including intensive teaching for rural students, ensuring high-quality education in paediatrics.
  • Drive Assessment and Curriculum Development: Lead the creation of written and oral assessments, and spearhead ongoing curriculum refinement.
  • Conduct Educational Research: Support and contribute to the educational research agenda in paediatrics, ensuring continuous improvement of the program.

You may be a great fit if: You are a qualified paediatrician with a passion for medical education, possessing excellent teaching skills and the ability to innovate in curriculum development and assessment methodologies.

You may also:

  • Hold postgraduate training in paediatrics (FRACP or equivalent) with medical registration in Australia.
  • Have significant experience in clinical paediatrics practice.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of teaching and learning practices, including assessment principles.
  • Possess excellent management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Show a commitment to ongoing evaluation and improvement of medical education programs.
