The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS), founded in 1965, is a self-financing extension unit of the University with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to community members of all ages. The School offers a wide variety of full-time and part-time post-secondary, professional and continuing education programmes, general courses and corporate training courses in diversified disciplines. CUSCS now invites applications for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer to provide support in teaching and programme quality assurance support to related Higher Diploma programmes and Diploma programmes.
Applicants should possess (i) a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Social Work or related disciplines; (ii) a valid Registered Social Worker certificate issued by the Social Workers Registration Board or equivalent with not less than 5 years’ post-qualification experience in social work practice; (iii) at least 4 years’ post-Master teaching experience at tertiary level; (iv) proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; (v) substantial experience in programme curriculum design, review and development; and (vi) good connections with the social work and services sectors. Applicants with less experience but have at least 2 years’ post-Master teaching experience may be considered for appointment at Assistant Lecturer rank.
Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) starting from late August 2026, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
