Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Statistics (Particularly in the area of Machine Learning) within UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics.

The School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a temporary 5-year Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Statistics. Preference will be given to applicants whose research is in the area of Machine Learning.

The UCD College of Science, to which the School of Mathematics and Statistics belongs, is undergoing an exciting transformation under the guiding principle of “data in science, science in data”.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute high quality research that broadens and integrates with current areas of research expertise in the School. The successful candidate will also be expected to be committed to pursuing excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across the School’s wide-ranging programmes, and to contribute to the development and delivery of new programmes.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €65,401 - €103,564 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
