Title: Lecturer (Assistant Teaching Professor)

Location: Baltimore, MD - Part-time telecommuting and online courses may be authorized; applicant must live within commuting distance to campus.

Duties: Teaching a wide range of courses, primarily at the graduate level (for our Data Science MPS program). Advise students, mentor teaching assistants, and help shape departmental practices and policies. Continue their professional growth with opportunities for increased responsibilities. Courses to teach include but are not limited to: Introduction to Data Science; Introduction to Data Analysis and Machine Learning; Special topics in Data Science. Part-time telecommuting and online courses may be authorized; applicant must live within commuting distance to campus.

Requirements: Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline. Applications will be considered for all areas of specialization in computer science and computer engineering. Experience in academia, industry and government will be considered. Candidates who have had a non-academic career with a demonstrated commitment to teaching are encouraged to apply and should emphasize their industry experience.

Salary Range: $88,000- $110,000/year
