Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems and Dept. of Communication and Network Engineering in the School of Engineering, are seeking individuals who can actively engage in a broad range of engineering fields and collaborate extensively with the medical field across both divisions. The following research areas are provided as examples; however, inquiries regarding other related fields are also highly welcome.

- Education and research at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems: Each of the successful applicants is expected to conduct his/her own research and supervision of graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research.
- Education and research at the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to conduct his/her own research and supervision of graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research
- Education at School of Engineering: Each of the successful applicants is expected to teach laboratory courses on computer science and supervision of undergraduate students in their research.

Annual salary: 6 million yen - 9 million yen
Wages description: Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Lecturer 6,130,000-7,680,000yen
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Associate Professor 7,058,000-8,246,000yen
An annual salary system is applied.
The amount of salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, licenses and qualifications, work experience, etc. according to the National University Corporation Okayama University annual salary application staff salary rules.

Working hours: 08:30-17:30
Holidays: Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations: If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
