JOB TITLE: Assistant Lecturer-Didactic & Clinical This position has an August 2026 start date.
JOB PURPOSE: Teach face-to-face didactic, clinical, and on-line courses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Lecturer will be responsible for teaching in the undergraduate program in the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching in face-to-face didactic, clinical, and on-line courses.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Additional responsibilities include career advising to students; service to school, college and profession; and professional development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of acute care clinical experience
- Two or more years of teaching experience in nursing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience supporting students in both academic and clinical settings
- Experience in rural healthcare education and practice
- A strong commitment to cultivating welcome and belonging in education and professional settings; skilled at collaborating with a variety of students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to promote success
