Lecturer
Overview
The CSSE Department invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty Lecturer to begin in fall 2026. This is a 9-month appointment, with the possibility of teaching during the summer term for additional compensation. Typical teaching load is three courses per 15-week academic term or two courses per 7.5-week academic term, for a maximum of six 15-week courses or eight 7.5-week courses during nine months of an academic year.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the appointment include teaching and service. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Computer Sciences and Software Engineering department.
Typical teaching load is three courses per 15-week academic term or two courses per 7.5-week academic term, for a maximum of six 15-week courses or eight 7.5-week courses during nine months of an academic year.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field from an ABET accredited institution, at the time employment begins. A PhD or ABD and/or prior teaching experience are desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence and/or computer security.
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
