Lecturer
The University of Vermont's College of Education and Social Services seeks a full-time, Lecturer to teach in the Department of Education's Program for Education for Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (ECLD). Lecturer responsibilities include:
- Teaching courses on policy and practices for multi-language learners in K-12 school settings. Examples of courses include Language Policy Issues, Race & Schools, and ELL Practicum (Community-Engaged Learning).
- Supervising practicum and interns in Multi-lingual learner classrooms.
- Advising undergraduate students in the ECLD minor.
- Managing the CAEP accreditation for undergraduate programming in “World Languages” and state accreditation for “Education for Cultural & Linguistic Diversity
- Collaborating with university faculty and field partners in public schools;
- Engaging in state and national service related to multilingual learners.
- Participating in student recruitment.
Requires:
- A Ph.D. in Education or Education Leadership and Policy.
- Multi-lingual background as demonstrated through academic applied languages degree or other applied languages coursework.

Salary Range: $56,650-$62,000
