This position will be supervised by the History department chair. The History Department, located in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has 15 rostered faculty, including 11 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Lecturer What you will do: Teach at least one course per semester in US or Public History. Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications) *Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.* M.A. in History from an accredited university. Experience teaching in-person and/or online courses in US history at the college level as the instructor of record, and/or experience in the public history sector, especially in museums. Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications) Ph.D. in History from an accredited university Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate knowledge of US or Public History is required, and in addition, and for lecturers teaching Public History, direct experience in the field is preferred. Compensation and Benefits The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $1,704 per credit hour for undergraduate courses and $1,849 per credit hour for graduate courses.
