The aim of the competition is to select a candidate for the position of a lecturer with a magister title (in the field of constitutional law) at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin in the Institute of Legal Studies.
The competition is open to individuals who meet the conditions specified in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. (Journal of Laws) of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and the Statute of the University of Szczecin, and who meet the criteria specified in the competition.
The competition is the first stage of the procedure for employment for the position of academic teacher, and a positive result constitutes the basis for further proceedings.
Candidates entering the competition must submit the listed documents:
- a statement of compliance with requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Dz.U. (Journal of Laws) of 2024 item 1571 as amended) (form to be downloaded);
- an application letter;
- CV;
- questionnaire (form to be downloaded);
- a document (or it’s certified copy) confirming the award of the title of magister in the science of the law with the final grade of 4.0 or higher (or equivalent); for documents in languages other than Polish, also certified translations of these documents into Polish and a certificate confirming the equivalence of the diploma with the Polish professional title;
- a document (or its certified copy) confirming the grade point average achieved in the course of law studies;
- information about the didactic, organizational and academic achievements, or a declaration of their absence;
- the list of publications, or a declaration of their absence;
- a statement that the University of Szczecin will be the candidate’s main place of work (form to be downloaded);
- a candidate’s consent for the processing of personal data by the University of Szczecin in the recruitment process on a form available at the University’s website (form to be downloaded).
Requirements:
- Master of Laws degree;
- command of the Polish language sufficient to conduct teaching (this requirement applies to foreigners applying for the position);
- knowledge of English at B2+ level.
Candidates may submit other documents or provide information which in their belief may be useful in the course of the competition procedure.

The remuneration for this position includes:
- a basic salary ranging from PLN 4830,00 gross to PLN 5580,00 gross per month (Section 5(5) of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026 on the adoption of the Remuneration Regulations at the University of Szczecin and Annex No. 1 thereto);
- a functional supplement for persons holding managerial positions or employed in managerial positions (Annex No. 9 to Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- a seniority supplement ranging from 0% to 20% (Section 16(1) of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- additional annual remuneration after meeting statutory requirements (Section 23 of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- award for a specified number of years in employment (Section 22 of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- retirement or disability severance pay (Section 24(1)(2) of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026).
In justified cases, a person employed in this position may receive:
- an award from the Rector of the University of Szczecin (Section 19 of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- a task-related allowance (Section 17(1) of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- a project-related allowance (Section 10(1) of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026);
- a 10% increase in basic salary for a period no longer than 12 months prior to the termination of employment due to retirement, provided that the remaining conditions are met (Section 25 of Order No. 28/2026 of the Rector of the University of Szczecin of 17 March 2026).
If financially possible, the employer may provide health insurance (basic package) to the employee.
