Lecturer I / Lecturer II (25260518)

Responsibilities:

The Department is committed towards excellence in both teaching and scientific research. It now invites applications for a position of Lecturer. The appointee is expected to (a) teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, especially courses related to biochemistry and bioanalytical chemistry; (b) supervise dissertation projects; (c) support chemical education research; and (d) perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department and Programme Directors.

Requirements:

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines. Experience in teaching biochemistry, bioanalysis, and medicinal chemistry is a plus. They must show dedication and strong commitment to teaching and education within and beyond the classroom. They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills and be proficient in both written and spoken English as well as Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
