Responsibilities:

The appointee is required to perform teaching duties in related disciplines and perform administration duties; provide academic guidance to students; organise and coordinate experiential learning activities for students; and assist in the ongoing review and design of courses and programmes.

Requirements:

Applicants should have a higher degree, preferably a doctorate in Cultural Studies, Literature and/or Linguistics and at least two years relevant teaching experience at tertiary level. Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment to teaching and education within and beyond the classroom. They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Ability to teach both English Language and English Literature will be an advantage. Applicants should have a strong link with industries and professional bodies and relevant professional qualifications.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Lecturer.

Reference salary range:

Lecturer II: HK$38,000 - HK$53,000

Assistant Lecturer: HK$30,000 - HK$39,000

The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
