As a Lecturer in Anthropology, you will have the opportunity to inspire students through engaging courses like ANTH30003 Lived Religion in an Uncertain World. You will contribute to the School's reputation for excellence in teaching and research, while developing your own academic profile. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver Engaging Courses: Prepare and deliver seminars, lectures, and tutorials for ANTH30003 Lived Religion in an Uncertain World.
  • Coordinate Subjects: Oversee subject coordination, including supervising teaching support staff and engaging with academic support teams.
  • Assess and Advise Students: Mark assessments, finalise results, and participate in student advising, ensuring compliance with university policies.
  • Administrative Duties: Develop subject LMS sites, manage gradebooks, and assist with Special Consideration and Academic Integrity queries.
You may be a great fit if:
You will have a PhD in Anthropology, with proven expertise in research and teaching, and a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for diverse student cohorts.
You may also:
  • Have a completed PhD in Anthropology or a closely related discipline.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate a record of research that informs and enhances teaching practice.
  • Be committed to contributing positively to the collegial environment and intellectual culture of the School.
  • Have a strong understanding of diverse student learning orientations and the ability to apply this knowledge.
