Lecturer in Criminology (Teaching Focus)
Applications are invited for a 12-month fixed term post of Lecturer in Criminology (Teaching Focused) in the Department of Law and Criminology.
The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the Faculty of Business and Law. It is a forward thinking, inter-disciplinary and research active department, which offers undergraduate programmes in Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology, Social Sciences and Law together with Masters programmes in Social Work, Forensic Psychology, and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team as Lecturer in Criminology (Teaching Focus) with a September 2026 start and on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. In this post, we are seeking applicants to contribute to our teaching delivery on our BSc Criminology & Psychology and BSc Criminology & Sociology programmes. The position will involve teaching undergraduate core and option modules on these courses and we are interested in candidates with teaching expertise or experience in the following: Crimes of the Powerful, Introduction to Criminology, Criminal Justice System, Key Perspectives and Debates in Criminology, and/or Quantitative Research Methods for Criminological Psychologists.
