Your next career opportunity
As a Lecturer in the School of Culture and Communication, you will have the opportunity to lead and innovate in teaching Screen and Cultural Studies. You will engage with diverse student cohorts, coordinate subjects, and contribute to curriculum design, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. In particular, you will lecture, coordinate, and supervise teaching staff in the subject CULS30004 Thinking Sex in Semester 1, 2026.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and Coordinate Teaching: Oversee subject coordination, supervise teaching staff, and deliver engaging lectures and tutorials.
  • Innovate Curriculum Design: Develop and implement cross-disciplinary approaches and technology-based teaching resources.
  • Engage in Leadership and Service: Actively participate in service roles within the School and Faculty, promoting inclusive and respectful behaviours.
  • Assess and Moderate Student Work: Grade and moderate student assessments, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation.
You may be a great fit if:
You will be an experienced educator with a PhD or equivalent experience in Cultural Studies, specialising in sexuality studies, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
You may also:
  • Have a completed PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in sexuality studies from a Cultural Studies perspective.
  • Possess strong computer literacy skills for eTeaching and eLearning.
  • Exhibit professional and collegial behaviour, embracing diversity and inclusion.
  • Have experience in subject coordination and a developing research track record.
