Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching at the specialty of French language and literature (lectures and seminars related to topics of literature and culture).
- Supervising Bachelor's and Master's theses and students' practical training.
- Creating teaching materials and developing teaching methods.
- Participation in curriculum development, student admission, and thesis defense committees.
- Participation in professional research focusing on comparisons between French and Estonian culture and intellectual history at the beginning of the 20th century.
- In-service training, including teaching, supervision, and research skills.
- Popularizing specialty and professional networking.
Required qualifications
PhD in the field of French language and literature or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
- Research on early 20th-century French literature in comparison with Estonian cultural history.
- University teaching record of at least two years.
- Experience in teaching the French language.
- Skills in compiling study materials.
- Experience as a translator of literary texts.
- Experience in supervising student research papers preferred.
Required language skills
Excellent command of French and Estonian. Good command of English.
