The School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in History (fixed term). The school is based at the historic world heritage site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and has a strong interdisciplinary ethos.

The successful candidate will have expertise in global history and/or the history of the Ottoman empire and modern Middle East. They will join the History programme team and will be responsible for leading and teaching modules during a colleague’s absence in session 2025-26. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to other teaching as appropriate, as well as to the wider work of the school.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and experience of successfully delivering high-quality teaching.
