Administrative duties include curriculum development (both individual and collaborative) and assisting with the design and execution of program events. MA degree required, PhD or EdD preferred. Minimum Degree Required: MA degree in hand by the time of appointment, with specialization in Japanese linguistics, Japanese language pedagogy, second language acquisition, applied linguistics, or a related field. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have professional-level proficiency in Japanese, excellent command of English, and experience teaching at the college-level in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: A doctoral degree is preferred. Experience teaching Japanese at various levels, demonstrated leadership in collaborative projects and curriculum innovation, and experience with instructional technology are also desirable.
