The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences equips the next generation with skills and knowledge to make the world a better place. Empowered by acclaimed academics and state-of-the-art teaching facilitates, our students are on the path to building a better future. 

As one of the University’s oldest and most respected disciplines, the School of Engineering plays an essential role in shaping the engineers of tomorrow and are seeking an experienced academic to deliver teaching programs as our new full-time Lecturer. 

Teaching accredited Bachelor and Master programs and collaborating with major research centres, industry partners and international networks you will grow your research and advance your academic career as you unlock your potential at UOW - a globally ranked, industry‑connected university transforming materials engineering for a low‑carbon future.

As a high performing Lecturer, you will teach iron and steelmaking, process metallurgy and thermodynamics; design and deliver lectures, labs and workshops; supervise honours and postgraduate projects; build a research portfolio in decarbonised steelmaking; and contribute to an inclusive, respectful academic community that welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds, especially those traditionally underrepresented in engineering.
