For over ten years we have been building lasting relationships with both regional and national employers, for example, in the defence sector, nuclear, healthcare and the automotive industries.
This post is for a lecturer to teach project management (with some project controls) to undergraduate learners. Our delivery currently takes place through a range of modes, including online and in-place, at a number of locations. For this post, the in-place delivery may be in Portsmouth, or one of our campuses in the north-west (for example, Lancaster, Carlisle and Barrow) to be agreed as part of the recruitment process.
Based in the Faculty of Business, Industry and Leadership, you will be working with a well-established team of academics and tutors, and contributing to the delivery of project management and project controls education to over 1,000 students, mostly on undergraduate integrated higher degree apprenticeship programmes. The role includes curriculum development, assessment, personal tutoring, working with employers and collaboration on programme enhancement.
We are particularly seeking an experienced educator and/or project professional who has a background of working, leading, training or educating, in industry and the workplace. Whether you are an existing academic or currently work as a trainer and are ready to embrace a new challenge, or you have senior experience working in industry and are looking to share your knowledge and expertise, we would like to hear from you. A strong commitment to high-quality teaching is essential. Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
