As a Lecturer in Psychology, you will contribute to high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students, and maintain an active research programme that enhances the School’s national and international reputation.

You will bring expertise in at least two areas of psychology, such as social psychology, cognition, cognitive neuroscience, indigenous psychology, personality and individual differences, research methods, perception, developmental psychology, environmental psychology, clinical psychology or related fields. The role also includes contributing to School administration and professional or community engagement activities.

Salary information

$92,603 - $110,407 per year, based on the skills, knowledge and experience you bring to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), based at our Tauranga campus.

You will hold a PhD in Psychology and demonstrate a strong track record of high-quality research publications. You will have proven success in undergraduate teaching, including lecturing and small-group facilitation, and the ability to contribute to postgraduate supervision.

You will be committed to innovative and research-informed teaching practices, collaborative research, and engagement with diverse communities. A clear commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the University's partnership with Māori is essential.
