Lecturer in Public Policy
The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Politics at Queen's University Belfast is a leader in research and teaching in Politics and International Relations. The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Public Policy from January 2026 to support research and teaching, including research methods.
The successful candidate will complement the School's research culture with expertise in public policy or global governance, such as in governance, policy-making, technology and XAI in government, health, sustainability, cybersecurity, inequality, or urban governance.
The appointee will contribute to research and teaching activities, including advancing the MSc in International Public Policy, expanding public policy in undergraduate degrees, and supporting the Centre for Public Policy and Administration.
Requirements include:
- A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline like Political Science or Public Administration.
- A record of high-quality research outputs.
- Evidence of independent research contributions.
- Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, including supervision and assessment.
- Ability to teach in Political Science and Public Policy, including research methods.
- A track record of leadership in education, research, or administration.
