Job Duties
The School of Public Affairs and Global Engagement at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh has lecturer positions available periodically teaching courses in disciplines such as African American Studies, Anthropology, Chicana/o and Latinx Studies, Criminal Justice, Environmental Studies, Fire and Emergency Response Management, Global Languages and Cultures, History, Hmong Studies, International and Global Studies, Indigenous Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, and Women’s and Gender Studies.
Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in appropriate discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or approved equivalent experience.
