Position Description

The Department of Surgery, Section of Urology at the University of Chicago seeks full-time faculty members at any rank.

Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in the Section of Urology. Responsibilities include:

• Patient care at Comer Children’s Hospital and affiliated off-site locations
• Teaching and supervision of trainees and medical students
• Scholarly activity

Academic rank and compensation, including a generous package of fringe benefits, will be commensurate with qualifications.

  • Center for Care and Discovery
  • Comer Children’s Hospital
  • Bernard A. Mitchell Hospital (adult inpatient care)

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following prior to the start of employment:

1. Medical doctorate (M.D. or equivalent)
2. Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois and Indiana
3. Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Urology (or equivalent)
4. Completed an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Urology or equivalent training

Preferred qualifications:

• Interest in academic medicine
• Experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgery
