The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia seeks outstanding candidates for one full-time, continuing teaching faculty position in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Area, beginning on July 1st, 2027 (Rank: Lecturer).
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold at least a Master's degree in management or a field related to teaching innovation and entrepreneurship, and experience in real-world innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Candidates must demonstrate expertise and experience in experiential and community-engaged instruction (including mentoring and coaching), aligned with the Beedie School of Business' strategic priorities of innovation, social responsibility, and global perspective. Experience teaching at an AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited business school is an asset. Evidence of ability to build and maintain a network of guest speakers, project judge panels, and partner organizations for student projects is important. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build and maintain teaching topics and materials aligned with rapidly changing content, environments, and teaching platforms/settings (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, online). This is a teaching-focused position, and the appointment and subsequent performance reviews will emphasize teaching and educational contributions. Research activity and scholarly publication are not expected as part of the role.
Duties
The successful candidate will teach eight course sections per year in innovation and entrepreneurship, primarily in the undergraduate program (graduate courses are possible with appropriate experience). These courses are experiential, community-engaged, and include coaching and providing feedback to students and student ventures in academic and/or co-curricular settings.

Teaching faculty members are expected to contribute to the Beedie School of Business' teaching excellence, actively participate in the school's collegial self-governance, and offer assistance and guidance to students and peers. This unique role also benefits from connections and service with the Beedie innovation and entrepreneurship communities through activities such as committee work, advisory boards, etc.

Faculty salaries at SFU are based on the salary scales bargained between the University and the SFU Faculty Association. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role at the Lecturer Rank is $98,340-$114,241, dependent on experience. Benefits are in addition to this range.
