An opportunity is now available for a passionate and committed Lecturer in Management to join our academic team.

Who you are

You’re an emerging academic who’s motivated by the chance to shape future business leaders through high-quality, student-centred learning. You bring curiosity, professionalism and a commitment to excellence, resonating strongly with a role that values both teaching impact and a developing research profile. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy creating engaging learning experiences informed by scholarly practice.

You’re someone who values collaboration, constructive relationships and academic integrity, and you’re energised by the opportunity to contribute to a positive School culture. You’ll connect naturally with a role that expects you to build your reputation in teaching and research, operate with growing independence, and contribute meaningfully to the School’s learning, research and engagement outcomes.

What you'll do

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching across management courses, helping learners build the skills and confidence they need to thrive in contemporary business environments. You will undertake research, aiming at publishing in high quality journals, securing research income, and supervising Higher Degree by Research candidates. As part of the broader Business Area of the School, you will support relevant business accreditation, including the accreditations with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Over your first 6–12 months, you’ll contribute to strengthening course delivery, enhancing student engagement, and building your research profile through high-quality outputs aligned with the University’s research strengths. You’ll also support honours and postgraduate students, participate in collaborative research activity, and contribute to service and engagement that positively shapes the School’s culture and external partnerships.

Travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

What will help you succeed

You’ll succeed in this role with a doctoral or master’s qualification in a relevant discipline and a developing track record in teaching and research. Experience creating inclusive, reflective and engaging learning environments will be highly valued, along with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with clarity and professionalism.

A readiness to contribute to research teams, attract funding, and supervise HDR students will strengthen your impact, as will alignment with the University’s core values of Respect, Integrity and Excellence. Most importantly, you bring enthusiasm for shaping the next generation of management professionals and a commitment to ongoing scholarly and professional growth.
