Lecturer
NYU Prague is seeking a Lecturer to teach Topics in European Finance, an introductory course on European banking and finance that provides students with a comprehensive perspective on international finance in historical and contemporary context. The course examines the fundamental purpose of financial systems, the reasons for regional differences in European practice, and the diverse approaches to further development and integration within the EU. Students will engage with critical issues such as the role of financial markets in supporting businesses and households, the EU’s goals of environmental sustainability and competitiveness, and the challenges posed by productivity growth, regulatory frameworks, and integration efforts.
The lecturer will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, assigning and evaluating coursework, and supporting student learning through feedback and office hours, while upholding NYU’s standards of academic rigor and integrity.
Candidates should hold an advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field, have demonstrated teaching or professional experience in European or international finance, and be able to engage an international undergraduate student body.
