What you'll do
You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers in healthcare. You'll contribute to curriculum delivery across a range of learning environments, support student success and help foster a culture of academic excellence.
Beyond teaching, you'll have the opportunity to grow your research profile, contribute to impactful research projects and engage with industry and community partners to strengthen the University's reputation and impact. Working as part of a collaborative academic team, you'll help shape the future direction of nursing education while contributing to improved health outcomes for the communities we serve.
In your first 6–12 months, you will establish yourself within teaching teams and demonstrate early progress in research and academic engagement.
You will:
- Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based teaching using contemporary approaches and digital technologies
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of nursing programs and student learning outcomes
- Undertake research that produces high-quality outputs and contributes to the University’s research strengths
- Supervise honours and postgraduate research students and support their successful completion
- Engage in collaborative research activity and seek opportunities for external funding.
What will help you succeed
A doctoral or master’s qualification in Nursing (or equivalent accreditation and standing) and current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is a mandatory requirement for this position.
For candidates seeking appointment to a Teaching and Research position, experience in teaching/student learning with the nursing field paired with evidence of experience in conducting and publishing research, attracting research funding, or contributing to a research program will support your success.
For candidates seeking appointment as an Education Specialist, experience designing and delivering engaging learning experiences, curriculum development and advancing student outcomes will be highly valued.
Most importantly, you'll bring a commitment to excellence in nursing education, a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and industry partners, and a passion for preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: Total remuneration range $137,920 to $163,017 pa (includes salary range of $116,315 to $137,480 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
