The College of Business & Technology (CoBT) invites qualified candidates to apply for a non-tenure track Lecturer of Business Administration to start in January or August of 2026.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have at least an earned MBA or a master’s degree in a business discipline or a directly-related field from an accredited business school. Ph.D. or D.B.A. is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability: We seek candidates with demonstrated teaching ability in business and management and the willingness and capability to develop and improve a portfolio of courses in various subjects related to their expertise. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a collegial campus community. Preferred candidates will be able to teach Introduction to Business, Principles of Management, Business Analysis Using Spreadsheets (MS Excel), and Business Strategy. Candidates will engage and advise a diverse student population. Previous teaching experience including online teaching and online course development is preferred.

Faculty Responsibilities: This position carries responsibilities in teaching and service. Lecturers typically teach five sections per semester (4 in person and 1 online), advise students, serve on university and college committees and engage in professional development activities. Teaching assignments will align with the qualifications of the individual and the needs of the college. Candidates must be willing and qualified to teach undergraduate business courses in both traditional and online settings. CoBT faculty teach on the Lander University campus located in Greenwood, South Carolina. CoBT faculty teach online courses in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Applied Science, and graduate programs. Online teaching experience is preferred but not required. Online teaching faculty must complete an online teaching certification course. Candidates must be willing to serve, as assigned, on both CoBT committees and Lander University committees. According to AACSB engagement and impact guidelines, CoBT faculty engage with the local community according to their professional area of expertise.

Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.

The College: The College of Business & Technology’s School of Business offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with five concentrations (General Management, Healthcare Management, Hospitality Management, IT Management, and Sport Management), a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with three emphasis areas: Accounting, Financial Services, and General Management. The college also offers a fully online Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration. The graduate program includes an online Master of Business Administration program and an online Master of Science in Management program. The primary focus of Lander University is teaching, and the College of Business & Technology emphasizes a student-centered learning environment. The College of Business & Technology is AACSB accredited. The University offers an excellent benefits package. Lander University is in Greenwood, South Carolina, in the Piedmont region, which is only two to four hours from the beautiful South Carolina beaches or the Blue Ridge Mountains. This position is campus-based and not remote.
