Lecturer of Communication
Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Communication in the School of Communication and Media, with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position for work to be performed in Georgia.
Job Summary
The position involves teaching undergraduate courses in production and providing service to the School, College, University, and/or profession.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Master's degree in Communication, Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Production, or a closely related discipline, or a Master's degree in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
- Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level
- Industry experience in multimedia reporting, broadcast reporting, documentary, commercial production, and client relations
- Professional experience with short-form media production, advertising media production, contract media production, audio engineering, and digital media production
- Industry-current skills in journalism and multimedia production
