"Lecturer of Kinesiology"

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Lecturer of Kinesiology to begin Fall 2025. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250,000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery, teaching and learning, community engagement and public service, and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence.

This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month academic appointment. Primary duties will include teaching undergraduate courses (15 semester credit hours per semester) in physical education/coaching, exercise science, and fitness/health. Candidates must be able to deliver content in various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability for morning, evening, and/or weekend classes. Duties also include provide service to the university and community. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The Department of Health Sciences is housed within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and offers bachelor's degrees in: Kinesiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, and Public Health.

Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a earned Master's degree or higher in Kinesiology or a closely related field. We strongly encourage candidates with proven teaching experience in coaching, physical education, exercise science, or related areas.
