The Departments of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital and University of Toronto are seeking a qualified full-time academic endocrinologist. Up to two positions are available, although the Division may appoint fewer than this depending on the qualifications of the applicants. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician-Teacher (CT), Clinician-Educator (CE), Clinician-Investigator (CI), or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI). The expected start date of the position is January 1, 2027, or shortly thereafter.
The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Interest in lipid disorders and metabolic bone disease would be an asset. The successful candidate will also have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization. The successful candidate will support outpatient demands and inpatient consultations. They will participate fully in the educational programs in Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto, as well as collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs.
The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism at St. Michael’s Hospital. The Division is composed of 13 full time academic endocrinologists, and has an international reputation in clinical and translational research, education and quality improvement.
Estimated remuneration is above $200,000 annually and will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, clinical work and experience. Applications will be accepted until July 27, 2026.
