Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Feminist and Gender Studies (two-year term)
The Feminist and Gender Studies Program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time, two-year term position. The position will be at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval.
Candidates should have a PhD in Gender and/or Sexuality Studies or a closely related field. Applicants should also demonstrate experience and commitment to undergraduate teaching and an active research profile. The successful applicant will teach 5 courses in each year of the appointment, at all levels of the undergraduate program, including introductory level courses. There will be the opportunity to develop and teach courses in your specific area of interest. Specific courses will be determined based on the needs of the program and the expertise of the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will be joining a small and active program with opportunities to organize events, share research, and receive mentorship and support. The program is particularly interested in applicants with expertise in anti-racist, anti-colonial, Black, and Indigenous feminisms.
