Job Summary
Dalton State College invites applications for a full-time, 10-month faculty position in Mathematics, beginning August 1, 2026. Depending on experience and qualifications, the appointment will be made at either the tenure-track Assistant Professor or Lecturer level.

Dalton State seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about teaching mathematics to a diverse student body in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence, or potential for excellence, in:

Teaching responsibilities are 27-29 credit hours per academic year. Courses may include college algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and other mathematics offerings at both the core and upper-division levels. Teaching assignments may occur during the day, evening, online, or at off-campus locations.

The Department of Technology and Mathematics at Dalton State College provides engaging courses that develop quantitative reasoning, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking. Mathematics faculty are committed to student success and to helping students build the mathematical foundation necessary for careers in STEM fields, business, healthcare, and beyond.

Minimum Annual Salary (Lecturer): $49,500
Minimum Annual Salary (Assistant Professor): $60,500

Required Qualifications
- Applicants must hold an earned masters degree from an accredited with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate
- College classroom teaching experience.
- Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- An earned masters degree with 18 graduate credits in Mathematics or a closely related field is required; a doctorate is preferred.
- Evidence of effective teaching or potential for teaching excellence.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to teach effectively in face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments.
