Lecturer or Associate Professor in Maritime Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at UCL is seeking candidates for a Lecturer (Grade 8) or Associate Professor (Grade 9) in Maritime Engineering to join the Marine, Autonomy and Robotic Systems (MARS) Group.
This role involves developing a research program in areas such as naval architecture, hydrodynamics, marine systems engineering, port and coastal infrastructure, autonomous marine vehicles, and zero-carbon maritime technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate across the department, contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and engage with industry and policy stakeholders.
Key requirements include a PhD/EngD in a relevant discipline, a track record of high-quality publications, competitive research funding, teaching experience, strong industry connections, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Salary ranges from £54,172 to £73,142 (including London allowance), for a full-time, permanent position based in London, Hybrid.
