Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Hydrology
Nga korero mo te turanga - About the role
You will undertake original research in hydrology. You will also contribute to the teaching, postgraduate supervision and administrative requirements of the School within the Earth and Environmental Sciences Team. You will be comfortable teaching hydrology and environmental science to undergraduate to masters level students.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) continuing role based on our Hillcrest Campus.

To be successful in this role, you will bring many of the following skills and experiences:
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- A track record of high-quality research publications
- Demonstrated teaching skills at tertiary level, including a commitment to effective student learning and to teaching innovation
- Ability to contribute to the graduate and postgraduate programme including the supervision of Honours, Masters and PhD students.
- Ability to attract research funding.
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Awareness of the value of Mātauranga Māori in science, and the value of Kaupapa Māori approaches to teaching.
