About the Opportunity
The Paramedicine Team at Edith Cowan University (ECU) is looking for a lecturer to join the team at our Joondalup campus in Perth. The ECU Paramedicine Team pride themselves on excellence in teaching and research, working closely with local, national, and international health care organisations to provide undergraduate and postgraduate education. With campuses in both Joondalup and Bunbury and a new City, along with contemporary digital learning technologies, our team produce excellent clinicians and future health leaders through higher education.
As a Lecturer in Paramedicine, you will deliver contemporary high-quality teaching, develop innovative and evidence-informed content and be responsible for the coordination of units. Through your knowledge and expertise, you will teach within the postgraduate and/or undergraduate Paramedicine courses and will have digital capability to develop and enhance high quality learning experiences.
What you’ll do:
Undertake contemporary teaching practices in the paramedicine programs.
Coordinate and develop strategically aligned curriculum that aligns with course and industry expectations and best evidence-informed practices.
Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation and critical thinking.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students by supporting their academic and professional development.
Stay current with advances in paramedicine and incorporate relevant updates into the curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues and industry to enhance the overall quality of the paramedicine programs.
About you
Registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (Ahpra) with no conditions.
Current working rights in Australia.
Working towards or holding a postgraduate degree in Paramedicine or in a relevant field with significant relevant clinical experience as a paramedic.
Demonstrated interest in tertiary level teaching and learning including the development and delivery of online learning.
Proven experience developing strong professional partnerships and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated student-centred learning and teaching philosophy.
Personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage, and Personal Excellence.
