What you’ll do

Bringing your academic experience or your clinical experience in hospital, industry, or private practice), you will be instrumental in the ongoing development of the University’s offerings in Physiotherapy, our Associate Degree in Allied Health and related health programs, including internal and external accreditation.

In this role, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across our physiotherapy programs and help shape the learning journey for emerging practitioners. You’ll bring real-world clinical insight into the classroom, contribute to curriculum development, and support students as they build confidence and capability. You will play a key role in strengthening unit delivery, enhancing student experience, and contributing to program innovation. As part of a supportive academic team, you’ll have opportunities to grow your teaching practice, pursue scholarly interests, and help strengthen the reputation and impact of our physiotherapy offerings.

What Will Help You Succeed

You’ll succeed here with:

  • a recognised qualification in physiotherapy with a PhD (or progress towards or desire to enrol) in physiotherapy or a related health discipline
  • current registration as a physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • a research track record OR extensive clinical and/or tertiary teaching experience
  • experience in teaching, supervision, or mentoring - whether in clinical or academic settings – sufficient to train novice clinicians
  • an ability to communicate clearly and support diverse learners
  • expertise in one or more speciality areas of physiotherapy practice
  • experience in engaging in research that provides the opportunity to collaborate with others
  • knowledge of the accreditation standards for the development of physiotherapy programs, and experience in tertiary level program design and curriculum development would be highly valued
  • strong interprofessional relationships within allied health

Salary: Total remuneration range $133,256 to $157,504 pa (includes salary range of $112,381 to $132,831 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
