- Salary Package: From $123,435 to $146,044 (Level B) or $150,714 to $173,323 (Level C) p.a., plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading
- Appointment Type: Full-time, continuing position
- Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde), Sydney
About the Role
The Department of Applied Finance at Macquarie University Business School (MQBS) is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our dynamic team of scholars. Candidates in field of Finance or Financial Economics, particularly in emerging areas such as environmental and sustainable finance, AI driven finance and quantitative finance, are invited to apply.
Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively to produce research that is published in leading international refereed journals, designing and delivering innovative teaching methods that drive student success, and demonstrating a commitment to service and engagement within our communities.

The Department of Applied Finance is a research-oriented department offering undergraduate, master's, and PhD programs. Our staff produces world-class, industry-engaged research published in high-quality journals. Selection Criteria
- A PhD (completed or near completion) in finance or economics;
- A record of quality research publications in respected outlets;
- Engagement, or a plan for engagement, with the wider community in order to further enhance teaching and or research outcomes;
- A record of high-quality teaching in finance or related business field;
- An ability to develop new approaches to teaching in finance including online and digital approaches to the delivery of coursework programs;
- Evidence of work as a team player in the delivery of administrative tasks related to teaching and research;
