Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Nursing – Rural & Remote Health

How you'll make an impact

As Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Nursing – Rural & Remote Health, you will play a key role in delivering JCU’s distributed nursing program and strengthening health workforce capacity across regional Queensland.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning experiences for nursing students
  • Support student recruitment, engagement, progression and success throughout their studies
  • Strengthen rural and remote clinical placement pathways and partnerships
  • Contribute to interprofessional education and service-learning initiatives
  • Lead and/or contribute to research focused on rural and remote health, nursing and workforce development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with health services, schools, community organisations and industry partners
  • Mentor students and emerging researchers while contributing to academic leadership within CQCRRH

You are a committed nursing professional with a passion for rural and remote health and improving health outcomes through education, research and collaboration.

You will bring:

  • Current nursing registration
  • A doctoral qualification (or substantial progress towards completion)
  • Experience in nursing education, ideally within rural and/or remote contexts
  • Understanding of rural and remote health workforce challenges and opportunities
  • Experience supporting student engagement, recruitment and clinical placement activities
  • A growing or established research profile in nursing, education, rural health or workforce development
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
