Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FMHS) is seeking to appoint a pharmacologist to join a team that will deliver the principles of pharmacokinetics across the Bachelor of Science (BSc) and health professional programmes (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Optometry, Medical Imaging) offered by FMHS.
We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology to join our existing team and provide research-led teaching in pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacometrics, supporting the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the BSc, MSc, and health professional programmes. The ideal candidate will be research-active in a field related to pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacometrics who can contribute to our teaching, research, and supervisory environments by:
- Planning and delivering undergraduate and post-graduate research-led teaching in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology
- Establishing a research programme in the fields of pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacometrics linked to current expertise and research interests in FMHS
- The supervision of postgraduate students in research for Honours, Master's, and PhD projects.
The successful candidate will be based in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology within the School of Medical Sciences, FMHS.
This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week).
Salary range for Senior Lecturer: $126,863 -$145,741, depending on skills and experience; salary range for Lecturer: $99,788 - $119,204, depending on skills and experience.

Our ideal candidate will either hold:
A PhD in a subject relevant to pharmacology and clinical pharmacology with expertise in pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacometrics. In addition, all candidates would be expected to have:
- Experience in teaching pharmacokinetics in undergraduate and postgraduate curricula
- Have a strong teaching and research background in pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacometrics, with knowledge and expertise in a related field.
- Demonstrated an ability to undertake research and/or support research activities.
- Be a team player, with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and drive to establish a research-led teaching programme and promote an active research environment.
