In this influential academic role, you’ll teach across the Foundation Sciences modules (Years 1–3) of the MBBS program—covering areas such as Psychological Medicine & Human Development (PHMD), Ecology of Health (EH1), and Preventative Medicine & Addiction Studies (PAS). You’ll actively contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the Foundation Years, ensuring students receive a high-quality, contemporary learning experience.
Beyond teaching, you’ll have opportunities to supervise research students, engage in your own research aligned with the College’s strategic priorities, and collaborate within a vibrant academic community committed to excellence, sustainability, and reconciliation.
This is a role for an educator who brings both clinical insight and educational passion—someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to make a meaningful difference in northern Australia's health landscape.
What You'll Bring
- A qualification in medicine, nursing, psychology, or a related clinical science, with practical experience.
- Expertise in areas such as psychological development, mental health, addiction, rural health, the Australian health system, or general practice.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and use of educational technologies.
- A record of research and academic contribution.
- Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
