Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor within our Counsellor Education programmes. The University of Waikato Counsellor Education programmes are known nationally and internationally for their focus on narrative approaches to counselling.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will bring excellent practice and research records and a recognised contribution to the counselling profession to contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and postgraduate supervision. As a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor, your well-defined programme of research will help to advance research capacities and undertake professional, community, and iwi service activities in the Counsellor Education field. You will have a record of leadership that includes mentorship, guidance, and support for other staff.

The level of appointment will depend on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. Salary will be in the range of $92,603 to $110,407 for a Lecturer, $113,248 to $148,799 for a Senior Lecturer, or $150,661 to $166,176 per year for an Associate Professor.
